BEAUTY OF FIRE
burns – we are a Polish manufacturer of high-quality fire-burning facade boards called shou sugi ban
shou sugi ban has its roots in Japan and is a traditional technique that involves burning the surface of wood to increase its durability, resistance to weather conditions and give it a unique appearance.
The process according to which BURNS products are manufactured is a completely natural way of protecting wood and is a modern equivalent of the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban aka Yakisugi. Hundreds of years ago, in the Land of the Rising Sun, its inhabitants, struggling with numerous fires, noticed the genius of nature hidden in the charred layer of wood.
ADVANTAGES OF A FIRED BOARD:
Resistance to weather conditions and pests
greater resistance to rain, moisture, UV radiation and insects.
Protection against mold
fire-burning boards have antifungal properties, which limits the growth of mold on the facade.
Durability
Shou Sugi Ban IS NATURAL PRESERVATION WHICH allows the façade to retain its original appearance longer and requires less frequent maintenance compared to untanned boards.
Unique appearance
BURNED wood acquires a characteristic finish in the form of dark, burnt lines and textures, which give the facade a unique look.
